Australian comedians Hamish Blake and Andy Lee founded Hamish & Andy in 2003. The Hamish & Andy Show, a popular drive-time radio program (and its numerous spinoffs), their work as correspondents on Rove, and their Nine Network series Hamish & Andy’s Gap Year are what they are best known for. They have frequently appeared as hosts of events, players on game shows, and participants in celebrity athletic events. With individual incomes of A$4 million, the duo was Australia’s highest-paid commercial radio presenters. At the University of Melbourne, where Lee was studying commerce and Blake was studying business and science, the two met through comedy competitions.

The pair started hosting a Friday afternoon drivetime show on the Student Youth Network. The Matt & Jo Show on Fox FM, which Hamish started writing for shortly after, was followed by the duo hosting “Almost Tuesday” on the same station every Monday night. The pair then co-hosted the Saturday morning Fox FM program Almost Midday, which was so popular that it was nationally syndicated throughout the Today Network. They have hosted the two-hour afternoon program Hamish & Andy, originally The Hamish & Andy Show, on the Today Network in all states and territories of Australia and in New Zealand since 2006 until its change in format at the end of 2017. On the Christian O’Connell Breakfast Show, it was revealed that Hamish and Andy would host three episodes in London to fill in for O’Connell’s vacation. A contract was signed by Hamish and Andy to host a number of programs that will run on Absolute Radio on Sunday evenings. Christian O’Connell worked with Hamish and Andy on a one-time sociological experiment. Since 2003, Hamish and Andy have hosted a variety of TV shows and specials. Recently, Hamish (together with his wife Zo Foster Blake) served as a proud ambassador for Tourism Australia’s Holiday Here This Year campaign, and Andy did the same when he made an appearance for their Christmas campaign.
