A life of luxury and notoriety vastly contrasts with the hard knocks in Kim Lim’s real world

Kim has been described as a down-to-earth person who devotes much of her time to charity work.

Kim Lim, the daughter of Singaporean billionaire Peter Lim, is a socialite. Despite her Instagram presence, Kim maintains a low-key family life, even managing to keep her pregnancy hidden from the public eye. On the other hand, her connections with high-profile celebrities have thrust her into the spotlight on several occasions.

Kim’s father allowed her a normal childhood, and she only learned of his wealth in her adolescence. When Kim was four years old, her parents divorced. Kim recalls driving between her parents’ homes every two to three days after their messy divorce ended in 2002.

Kim finished primary school at Singapore Chinese Girls School. Kim was a member of the school’s Trim and Fit (TAF) Club and was frequently bullied because of her weight. She developed an eating disorder as a result of the bullying. Kim flew to London after primary school to attend Queenswood, an all-girls boarding school in Hertfordshire, for five years. Her bulimia became severe during this period.

Kim enrolled in Anglo Chinese School (Independent) and Hwa Chong International School upon her return to Singapore. She later earned a Business Management degree from the Singapore Institute of Management (SIM).

Kim was recognized as a fashion icon when she first started posting on Instagram because of her stylish posts. She is frequently seen at local high-society events such as ICON Ball and even won the Best Dressed award in 2019. Kim has collaborated with several brands, most of which are cosmetics companies. She has stated that she plans to leave her position as an influencer by 30 to work in her father’s company’s operations and marketing departments.

Kim met Kho Bin Kai in a Buddhist monastery located in Thailand. Kim had been drawn to Bin Kai due to his “tall frame and his ‘bad boy image,” and she later discovered that he was a colleague of the assistant she worked with. From that point on, Bin Kai and Kim began to become acquainted with one another. In February 2017, after dating for six months, the couple officially registered their marriage. Members of their immediate family only attended their little ceremony.

Kim gave birth to her first child, a son named Kyden Kho, in July 2017. Kim avoided all forms of social media while pregnant because she was adamant about protecting the confidentiality of her pregnancy. Kim announced that the reception for her wedding would take place on March 23, 2018, just three days after she gave birth. After then, the banquet was rescheduled to take place in October 2018.

After several years, Kim revealed that she and her husband, Bin Kai, had divorced after only having been married for three years. Kim also disclosed that the two had been living separately since the latter part of 2019. They indicated that the relationship had reached its natural conclusion and had lost its spark.

Kim posted a series of images to her Instagram account on September 30, 2021, explaining the private and unexpected proposal that she received from her alleged partner. After that, she let slip that her new fiance had organized a surprise proposal for her with the assistance of Kim’s close friends.

On February 22, 2022, Kim Lim and her fiance sealed the knot in a private yet extravagant ROM wedding conducted in Kim’s house.

In an article on June 3, 2022, The Straits Times reported that Kim had removed all Instagram images of her current spouse, Leslie Leow. These contain the photographs taken during her engagement and the gifts and party held before her wedding.

The press was eager to speculate about the likelihood of a split, which is claimed to be a move that is a mirror image of what took place. Kim Lim did, however, eventually come forward to explain that her acts directly resulted from the borderline personality condition she suffers from.

Kim Lim may appear to have a perfect and fortunate life on social media due to the wealth and popularity she enjoys; yet, this does not reflect the truth of how difficult things are for her in her everyday life.
