Ahmed Al Shugairi’s inspiring journey

Ahmed Al Shugairi is a TV Program Director and Animator in Saudi Arabian TV, he studied and lived in the United States for a while. He was influenced by Western culture and was about to choose it, but his return to his homeland changed his ideology which later made him decide to change his old bad habits and reconsider his perception about Islam. His aspiration was for the Islamic Nation to experience a renaissance through the resurgence of its youth, benefiting from the experiences of the Western world—which was not a bad thing. Naturally, this is the Saudi Arabian Ahmed AlShugairi, best known for his well-known television show “Khawatir,” which airs on the MBC Channel.

Ahmed Al Shugairi was born on July 17, 1973, in the Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah. His family’s financial resources enabled him to study in the United States and earn a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of California, Berkeley. Ahmed Al Shugairi had a personality that was completely different from what we know about him when he lived in the United States. According to his confession, he stopped praying for a while and was addicted to cigarettes for two years.

He went back to Saudi Arabia after graduating, established a private business that was structured like a commercial company, but its sole purpose was charity and returned to his homeland in accordance with his devotion to his homeland and charitable work. At the same time that he began studying the Islamic Sharia, his colleague Sheikh Adnan Zahrani played a significant role in correcting his incorrect understanding of Islam by demonstrating to him that Islam is open and tolerable and that all of the positive values that the West tries to instill in its societies have been followed by Islam for more than a thousand years. Ahmed decided to rekindle the Arabic and Islamic worlds because he loved Islam more.

As a result, Ahmed AlShugairi made his debut on television in 2002 when he appeared on a show called “Let’s Go Boys” that aimed at Arabic teenagers and discussed how to deal with their issues. Later, he came up with the idea for the show “Khawater,” which marked the beginning of his fame. Before that, Ahmed Al Shugairi had some issues with MBC managers when he wanted to broadcast the show “Khawatir of Youth” during Ramadan. He wanted to communicate with young people in modern and practical ways and encourage them to read, pointing out that “Read” is the first word sent by God to Muslims. He was also looking for solutions to problems that are common in the Islamic world.

Ahmed Al Shugairi was able to achieve his goal and launch his television show “Khawater,” which went on to achieve remarkable success in the years that followed. After that, he was exposed to a wide range of topics that focused on the creation of a typical world that can instill patriotism in Muslims and do so in a sincere manner. He was also looking for the best way to stand up against the corruption that the Arabic world is experiencing in order to resurrect the great civilization of Muslims.

The Arab public was interested in the ideas of Ahmed Al Shugairi, and his program “Khawater” was a huge success, reaching its 10th season in 2014. This was especially true after it aired episodes in a number of Arab and Western nations, where he provided concrete examples of his ideology. He was selected as the most powerful leader in Arabic for his outstanding work and received a quarter of million dollars
