Biggest Lier in Our Lives: ANXIETY

Explained in the simplest of words Anxiety is being paranoid about something that may or may not happen. The effect in our day to day lives is that we start to fear the things which are yet undecided that they will not be in our favour. However in the society we live in today anxiety is more than a feeling it is a full fledged emotion, which in turn hampers all other emotions.

However, if we think in line with ACE Writer Mark Masson, anxiety is nothing but a side effect of expectations. If we stop expecting a certain or perfect outcome from someone or some situation we will not be worrying about it at all. However we all know that this is something equally difficult to preach as well as practise.

The simplest explanation about anxiety is that the person actually has nothing to be afraid of except their own mind and the definition of how things should be or should not be. The biggest side effect of this is that anxiety takes a person away from the practise of gratitude because you are so busy worrying about what might happen in the times to come , you tend to lose all your sense of your present and how beautiful it is.

The two most effective ways to cope with anxiety are :

Talk it out: Not only is anxiety an emotion, it is the most illogical one of all times, because it is not something we feel directly it is something that hampers other emotions and senses thus taking us towards paranoia. The only antidote to such situation is taking in some logic. Speak to people around you about what you think is going wrong and listen to them carefully.

Distraction: Anxiety only creeps in when a person allows it to, because of some reason or the other, you allow yourself to give time to a situation like this and once it is successful in making some place in your mind it is very difficult to sweep it out. So the best way is to keep yourself engrossed at all possible times and avoid pondering on situations .
