Business Lessons from a Toy Collector Yexel Sebastian

Not everybody has the good fortune to be born into a wealthy family and will undoubtedly inherit their parents’ wealth in the future. Many businesses start small and expand to succeed. To encourage oppressed people to launch their own companies, self-made businessman Yexel Sebastian shares some uplifting business lessons he has acquired over the years.

Yexel Sebastian has a recognised passion for toys. When he was seven, he gathered little toys from fast food restaurants. As a young adult, he joined well-known dancing groups, briefly worked in show business, travelled the world, and earned enough money to engage in his expensive toy-collecting hobby. His toy museum served as an example of his enthusiasm. Yexel is a producer, director, screenplay, and performer of his short films, in addition to being a toy collector. The purpose of Yexel’s toy museum is to encourage young Filipinos to pursue their aspirations.

If your family or friends are discouraging you from starting your own business because they believe your plans will fail, consider the following business lessons:

Start small and aim high.

Take each step as it comes. Take the initial action to fire your enthusiasm, but remember that every trip begins with a single step, and you’ll soon see your company’s dreams coming true.

Don’t Feel Shameful About Conducting Business

Some people might believe that starting small is terrible because others would ridicule them. However, Yexel does not care if you are only selling one item. Just keep doing it. As long as you’re acting honourably, there’s nothing to be ashamed of.

Be patient, even with a problematic or obstinate customer.

You can practice being more patient and dealing with people by doing this. This will also assist you in understanding the perspectives of others.

Be Humble Always

No matter how prosperous you may eventually be in the future, maintain your modesty and always be grateful to your clients.

Rest, but don’t quit.

Even though plans don’t always work out, never give up. “It’s not an awful life,” Yexel stated. You can only lose if you quit and stop dreaming. It’s simply a terrible day. Change your perspective on your difficulties, and things will start to go your way soon.

And if you are also a toy lover, you can also go to the “Amazing Stories of Yexel’s Museum” in Manila!
