Chandni Chowk is the oldest market in Delhi. It has a great and very interesting history. This market was built during the period of Mughals. Chandni Chowk is divided into so many different lanes and markets like, Katra Neel, Chatta Chowk, Khari Baoli, Bhagirath Palace, Moti Bazaar, Nai Sarak, Tilak Bazaar, Chor Bazaar, Daryaganji, and Paranthe Wali Gali. Each one of them is famous for specific items.
Tourists are also attracted towards this place because it is situated near Red Fort and Jama Masjid. Chandni Chowk have everything, from clothes, home utilities, footwears to jewelleries. Chandni Chowk is also famous for its Daryaganji book market which is open only on sundays.5
5. DILLI HAAT
Dilli Haat is an open air market. This market has a perfect blend of craft works and cultural activities. There are two Dilli Haat in Delhi, one is in INA and the other is in Pitampura but the one which is situated in INA is more popular amongst tourists and also have more varieties of things and food items.
