How Erwan masters saying “No”.

Erwan Heussaff had never considered living a life in front of the camera, but after an unexpected alliance, he consented to serve as Seabiscuit Films’ test subject. Independent, homemade cooking films were the beginning, and they blossomed into sponsored, feature-length internet trip documentaries and various entertaining, easily ingestible digital entertainment.

It all began with The Fat Kid Inside, a personal food blog created to motivate readers to make better decisions regarding their health and well-being. It’s difficult even to fathom that Heussaff ever battled obesity when one sees him today and the positive example he offers for others around him.

“It’s simple to become in shape. Everything is clear-cut; all you need to do is exercise discipline. Erwan can attest that life began for him when he lost those extra pounds and that his hard-core, no-bullshit approach improved his situation. He embraced his newly discovered discipline in all facets of his life.

Heussaff stands out from the crowd because he has mastered the ability to say “no.” By being choosy and only engaging sponsors and clients who share his ethos and wish to promote healthy living, he keeps his integrity at the center of every relationship. His goal is to consistently demonstrate that everyone can find a clear, straightforward path to health.

“Oftentimes, our interests lie outside our culture—Hollywood movies, European fashion brands, Scandinavian architecture, and what have you—but with Erwan Heussaff’s navel-gazing interest in what exists locally, we get a sneak peek into all these things happening around us.” He is not a chef. The realisation that he had found his passion did not necessitate attending a professional cooking school. He has always loved to take care of people. Therefore cooking has just come naturally to him. If you ask him why he learned to cook, he will explain that he grew up with an uncomfortable expectation that other people would take care of him.

He’s constantly learning and changing, and I believe that he communicates his goals and interests via the projects we work on together. His zeal is contagious, and each assignment feels like a passion project.

Heussaff has been traveling across the Philippines in preparation for “Origins,” a show that will debut on the Tastemade web network in 2018. He digs more profound to learn more and strives to find local customs, traditional recipes, and intriguing food. He is innately curious and intrigued. Why search overseas when so many stories are waiting to be told right here in the Philippines?
