If there’s no door, build one: Katherina Olivia

Katherina-Olivia Lacey, better known by her stage name Katherina Olivia, is an entrepreneur who rose to prominence after she launched a fashion and lifestyle Instagram account that was immensely popular and then parlayed that popularity into a career in digital marketing. On Instagram, she has a following of almost 246,000 people.

In 2011, she graduated from Lynn University with a Master of Business Administration, specialising in marketing.

After Katherina finished her MBA, she was sure she wanted to start her own business. It was a stroke of good fortune that she was hired by a little business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce company that specialised in selling plus-size swimwear. Katherina worked there for no longer than a year. Yet, she was responsible for everything, including inventory and packaging, distributing boxes to trucks, and climbing around in the warehouse.

Katherina realised how challenging it is to concentrate on just one subject at a time. You never seem to get caught up on the tasks that need to be done or solve the difficulties that arise. Strangely, she enjoyed all of that stuff. There was never a moment that lacked excitement. At the same time, she cherished her time spent studying, especially the period during which she worked as a teaching assistant for one of the lecturers. Her aspiration to become an entrepreneur and an educator-leader contributed to her development.

Katerina was raised in the United States of America, Cameroon, and France after being born in Bolivia. Katherina-Olivia Lacey’s journey to arrive at her current job in supply chain technology brought her around the world. Quintus is a Singapore-based logistics software company that services a variety of industries, including food delivery, medicines, manufacturing, retail, and online shopping. Lacey is the company’s co-founder and its chief product officer.

Katherina-Olivia Lacey puts on a brave face, keeps it together, and is constantly driving new solutions despite the exhausting challenges of helping demanding customers with small but essential supply chain problems. This is because these challenges require her to help solve relatively minor issues.

Katherina is constantly challenging herself to improve in whatever it is that she undertakes. When people work with her, she strives to educate and test them to the best of her ability. Katherina learns a lot through a lot of practice and error. She is reasonable, but she also has a very firm hand.

Katherina must demonstrate that she can be comfortable with ambiguity when cultivating talent. She has to put on a brave front at times to prove to others that it is okay when things go wrong. Many growth pains are experienced by organisations, mainly when they are at Katherina’s stage. She is obligated to show appreciation to those who remain and ensure that they are aware of the reasons behind their continued presence, notwithstanding the alterations.

Even though Katherina leads a hectic life as a successful businesswoman, she manages to find time to travel for business and pleasure. Golf is one of Katherina’s favorite hobbies, and it’s also the only place she can go where she won’t feel guilty about turning off her phone for a few hours. The peace is gratifying. It is essential to her that she spends time with her Old English Sheepdog.

When Katherina thinks back to herself as a teenager, she tells herself not to underestimate who she wants to be or what she can do. If you tell yourself, “I can,” you will succeed. You must locate the key and devise a plan to solve this problem. And if there isn’t a door, you must make one for yourself.
