It’s not just a game: How chooxTV rise from the bottom

Esports and streaming have become more popular recently, but they are growing because people are being forced to stay at home. The number of aspiring video game content creators has steadily increased along with the popularity of online video games. Nowadays, even famous people use online streaming to interact with their followers and reveal a few of their private lives.

While there are many video game broadcasters to watch, ChoOxTV is one of the ones in the area with the fastest growth. He has about three million Facebook likes and over four million YouTube subscribers thanks to his amusing streams. The life-turning power of hope can be seen in ChoOxTV‘s tale, even after many failures.

Edgar Dumali, also known as streamer ChooxTV, has finally been able to build his dream home in South Cotabato after years of gaming.

Due to his participation in Mobile Legends and Facebook live streaming, Dumali has amassed a following of over 5.4 million people. As Dumali has demonstrated in his vlogs, he bought a new house with the money he made from streaming for three years.

He proudly unveiled the exterior and interior plans of the two-story home on YouTube on June 27 while the house was still under construction. The home has four bedrooms, one of which will serve as a gaming area.

Choox’s actual name, Edgar Dumali, explained on the KMJS Facebook page how he struggled in life before experiencing success thanks to playing and live-streaming the most popular multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game in the Philippines. Many online users were moved by his rags-to-riches tale, particularly his devoted fans who had stood by him initially.

“Back then, Papa had a variety of jobs, so we didn’t have a regular home. We occasionally consume nothing but sweet potatoes. After that, I flee to study. Papa then enrolled me, but I liked playing online games. But I have to work,” he recalled.

He recounted in the program that there were periods when we consumed sweet potatoes.

As he got older, he had to take on odd jobs to make ends meet. However, he discovered that he had more drive after meeting his partner Angel in Zamboanga.

The couple has been raising their children together, but there was a time when Dumali let gaming take priority over spending time with his family. Angel decided to leave him at that point and take the kids. Since then, Dumali has worked to strike a better balance between his family and gaming.

Edgar adds that before building their dream home, he used to stream from his bedroom while hiding the chaos all around him with a green screen. He won’t need to use it any longer because his new gaming setup, which includes high-tech screens and a specifically designed lighting system, is unique.

“While streaming can be beneficial, too much of a good thing can be harmful. So let’s handle this and keep it to a minimum, he said.

The streamer celebrated his accomplishment by posting a video on Facebook in which he contrasted his current residence with the one he previously had.

“I started at several occupations. I started as a dishwasher. Thirty pesos each day used to be my daily wage. I also had a job at a bakery. They let us sleep next to pigs there, which is terrible. Every time I consider what I’ve gone through, I cry,” he said.

Edgar proved something. He made an effort to demonstrate how playing games would alter his life. he’ll make a lot of money. He looked up how to work online. That’s where he picked up how to network, vlog, write articles, and build websites. He has now constructed a home for his family!

“We’re down sometimes in life. We don’t know. At times, we succeed.”
