Julie Tan: Experiences comes maturity

In 2010, Julie appeared as a main character in several episodes of television, such as The Illusionist, No Limits, and New Beginnings.

Julie Tan made a reputation for herself in the entertainment industry despite starting her career at a very young age and putting in a lot of effort. She, like everyone else, has had to overcome many challenges, which has unquestionably made her stronger.

In 2011, she participated in an audition for Alpha Entertainment, during which she was offered a position in the K-pop girl group Skarf; however, she declined the offer.

Julie Tan was once presented with the opportunity to become a member of a brand-new girl band that would later be developed and promoted in Korea. However, she concluded that she should decline it for a very reason: Julie would rather be authentic to who she is.

She went so far as to say that despite how appealing it was to become famous, acting is where her genuine interest resides rather than singing.

She became the host of A Date with K-pop Stars in 2013, and the show made its debut on Channel U on February 21, 2014. During the show, she traveled to South Korea with several K-pop idols, such as Dal Shabet, Hwang Kwanghee of ZE: A, Yewon and Baby J of Jewelry, Teen Top, Rainbow, A-Jax, and former member of H.O.T. Moon Hee-Joon. In 2016, Julie took a sabbatical from performing for six months to attend the acting school at the New York Film Academy for four months.

Julie Tan is an eager and straightforward person. Her enthusiasm to explore and flourish in her acting career when she first started has produced friction between her past directors and producers. Because Julie held contrasting opinions regarding her characters and insisted on carrying out her work in her fashion, she was placed in their “bad books.” Her lack of social graces eventually resulted in a boycott by several directors and producers, but they kept it to themselves.

At the tender age of 17, she was one step away from going under the knife. The critical remarks made by internet users, in which they pointed out her high forehead, flat nose, and chest, caused her to cry nearly every night. In the end, she concluded that she would teach herself to accept herself despite the person she is right now.

The outspoken actress had admitted that when she was 17 years old, she gave some thought to getting a breast augmentation but ultimately decided against it because she had a low tolerance for pain.

Since then, she has developed a healthier relationship with her physical appearance and the idea of loving herself.

Her father is an integral part of the process of anchoring her. He keeps her in check by continually advising her that she should have humility. Julie now understands the significance of articulating her thoughts in a way that is sensitive to the feelings of others. And Julie has become a better person as a result. She is a complete daddy’s girl and is grateful for everything her father has done for her.

She is not a spoiled brat, even though she comes from a wealthy and privileged family. Her parents raised her in a very disciplined environment. She recalled how her mother would smack her if she were slouching or if she wasn’t holding her chopsticks correctly. She also remembered how her mother would tell her to stand up straight.

By the time she is 25 years old, Julie plans to have broken into the global market. Julie stated that Singapore would continue to serve as her home base even though she would continue to work on projects worldwide in the hopes of one day bringing the Oscar trophy back to the United States.

She also acknowledged that there is a possibility that she would not be successful but that she would not regret attempting it.

She was pretty upfront about her relationship when she saw a model who had previously been in the industry. Everything shifted, though, when she suffered a broken heart just a few weeks before she turned 22.

Julie Tan revealed that she had clung to the relationship for precious life because she didn’t want to let people down and because Julie didn’t want them to believe that she couldn’t even handle her relationship well.

In addition, she confessed that she is not the kind of person who is accessible to date. Despite this, she has emerged from her most recent romantic endeavor with a clearer understanding of the qualities she seeks in a life companion. When Julie finds the right person for her who makes all the difference in her life, she plans to put some distance between her personal life and the online world. Julie inhabits social media since she feels too much pressure associated with being in the public eye.
