Meet: Samira Siad – The Best Arabic Singer

Moroccan singer Samira Said started singing when she was nine years old, when she performed her song “i love noodles.” She started her singing career when she participated in a Moroccan talent show called “Mawaheb.” She has a sensitive, beautiful voice, and she has always felt a strong connection to singing, which helped her develop a very impressive musical profile. She knew that music was her own way of expressing herself and that what she wanted. She moved to Egypt to expand her career and recorded numerous songs composed by famous Egyptian musicians. In 1983, when she sang “Almenah Al hob” on Layali TV, It was her turning point in Egypt.

She was married to Egyptian musician Hany Mehanna from 1988 to 1994. Then she got married to a businessman Mustafa Naboulsy in the mid 1990s and got blessed with one son, Shady Ennaoulssi. Furthermore they welcomed two more children, a son, Yassin Ennaoulssi, and a daughter, Sara Ennaboulssi. They are all currently reside in Cairo.

Samira mentioned in one of her interviews, that she decided to return back to Morocco and live with her family and loved ones once she is advanced in age.“I have matured and I need to go back to live with my family. I have reached the age where one needs to be constantly surrounded by one’s close ones and friends.” Said Samira.

Samira Said mainly sing in Egyptian dialect and recorded many hits that achieved great success in Egypt such as “Mahassalsh Haga“, “Youm Wara Youm”, “Ben Lef, “Sayidati Sadati”, “Malich 3inwan”, and “Akher Hawa”.In 2004 she published an album called “Aweeny Beek”. It is the most top selling Arabic album in the Middle East and worldwild with over 10 million copies.

Samira has remained one of the best Arabic singers thanks to her total dedication to her career and constant search for new subjects and aspects that distinguish her style. She is also constantly seeking a wide range of musical tastes and genres:Tarab, Rai, Jazz, Slow, etc..

Throughout her career, she tried to keep up with different generations and present everything new that attracts audiences, and that is her secret of her persistence til this day.

Samira Said celebrated her 64th birthday by posting a series of photos via her Instagram account that her followers adored. She wore a youthful look appropriate for the occasion. Her distinctive fashion sense and regular change in her appearance what make her fans get surprised and adore.

“I’m a person who changes all the time, and I’m changeable. I can change with every stage. I change my mindset and make choices according to the stage I’m in. I have the ability to take risks and go through whatever is new.” said Samira.

Samira decided to pursue new direction with the launch of her new album and release one or more song every month throughout the year. She collaborated with Hany Shaker and released her song “Yalla rouh”. It was the first song in Moroccan dialect after a long time. the song “Korbag” is considered to be her latest song release.
