Moments From School Bus

Moments From School Bus

They say you are really lucky, if you have something that is hard to leave and we all know that leaving our school, tops the list. But then there are those who have more than that and that to simultaneously! This was a whole new world, and just like Hannah Montana students travelling by bus, had the best of both worlds!

-Because no matter which car you are driving, the moment you spot a school bus you would want to go back-

Eating Leftover Tiffin

Eating the “Bacha Hua Tiffin” in the bus was a ritual followed by everyone and to top that up there were actually some people who would bring an extra tiffin for the time they spent in the bus. Who would have thought that sharing a parantha or a sandwich, with your bus-mates would be the most missed moment of all times. Oh and also don’t forget the chips we bought before we boarded the bus ! Those ten rupees spent on Fun flips, O-yes or Takatak were some of the best purchases of my life.

NSP

For those who are not aware of this widely used term, we would love to elaborate it so guys NSP stands for “Nayan Sukh Prapti” and now since you know the meaning you definitely are aware of what it stands for, travelling to and fro in a school bus gave all the students an extra leverage for interaction with seniors and people from different sections and rest as we all know is history.

Saving Them Seats

Because this had to come next, once you are over that staring and eye contact stage comes the real fun of sitting and talking for (well, not talking for hours, but just till the time your stop comes). The struggle for grabbing a seat next to your special one begins at the time of boarding is followed by cute little taunts from fellow mates and ends with the person managing to say that final goodbye, standing at the exit!

Last Seat Fun

Since we have already mentioned a lot about lovers we just cannot avoid the topic of Friends, because that would be a punishable crime. School Bus could function without a teacher or without driver for that matter, what it cannot do is function without those last seat hooligans who would shout, sing songs and whatnot. Making your space in that group was no less than earning a scholar badge in the morning assembly.

“6 Baje Wala Alarm”

Well, in life the sweet is always packed with the sour and the most sourest of thing in my opinion was the alarm that buzzed early in the morning followed by my mother’s voice saying “Uthjaaa Bus Miss Ho Jayegi”. The amount of hatred I had for that alarm, could never be explained in words.

Teasing Other Schools

You all remember this don’t you? The weird names we made up for other schools and why? No, but it just felt so natural that we cannot state it unjustified. If and when two busses came adjacent to each other at a signaL all the students would gather around the nearest windows and shout out loud, because Why Not?

P.S : My best friend is from Apeejay School so all I would like to say is : “Aadha Pahal Junglee School”

Dum Shurads

Been there, Done that Right? Even if you were not a part of the daily bus routine we have all travelled in them for picnics and school trips and played these games all round trip, Singing songs for no reason and jumping up and down for your best friend to guess the name of the movie you have been trying to act..

The “Mam ka stop a gaya moment ”

We would continue doing whatever we were doing before the teacher got off the bus, but just with a little more enthusiasm. This is the one moment which takes us back to our very own “Apni toh masti ki pathshala”

These memories although belonging to the same time, teleport you back to a new world, a world of only fun- friendship and loads of drama that coexisted with your school hours. The exact moments where Journey >> Destination!
