Niana: Breaking it down on to the dance floor

Niana Guerrero is one of the most popular and youthful YouTube stars. If you frequently use the site for streaming videos, you may have already seen one or more videos from this young YouTube star with a sizable fan base domestically and abroad.

Niana has a reputation for creating a wide range of YouTube content, including amusing prank videos with her brothers, day-in-the-life vlogs, and dance covers. She has a close relationship with her brother Ranz Kyle and is also well-known as a pair with him. Ranz and Niana’s combined Facebook page has approximately 7 million likes.

Enter dancer and content creator Niana Guerrero got her early start on YouTube in 2013. She makes fun of the South Korean chiptune pop song in one of her earliest videos, Gwiyomi Baby Niana. Niana also recalled when we sat down with her, “I released my first video roughly eight years ago! She continues, “If I were to watch it now, I think I would wince a little since I had no front teeth when I performed that. I think I was six years old when I did that Gwiyomi video that went viral on my channel.” The short and snappy video has already racked up 14 million views.

The 16-year-old content creator has millions of YouTube subscribers and a varied library of entertaining videos, including funny pranks (on herself and her family), viral dance challenges, and homemade family reels. Niana’s videos stand out among the seemingly limitless selection of material accessible and are particularly endearing for Filipinos worldwide because of the constant familial connectedness. “Of course, I do like [growing up and sharing that experience with my fans], “Niana says in an interview with Wonder Magazine. She continues, “For me, I genuinely think that they relate to the music we utilise since we usually dance to songs that are trendy and, of course, [songs that] [have] a good vibe].” The best thing about it, she says, “is seeing people happy with what we do and produce.”

Niana faced particular difficulties growing up in the spotlight, where many prey on people’s desire for anonymity. Nevertheless, as the good consistently outweighs the bad, the video creator has continued to share her life with her devoted viewers and grow up with them over the years despite this. I have encountered a few [negative remarks], but I don’t mind them, Niana admits. While most are absurd, a few are essential to remember for future reference. We saw a bit of Niana’s bubbliness during our day with her. The same Niana, a regular source of warmth in the room and whose energy and dance moves are well-known to everyone on social media, was introduced to us. She admits I’m the same person on camera and off camera, “but I’m just a little more effervescent off camera.”

But what is Niana’s next step? She admits, “You know what, I don’t know,” in the same interview. I’m simply accepting things as they come and moving forward step by step. “Whatever happens, happens,” she quips, “and who knows? I might even start singing!”

Though unknown, at least the situation is optimistic.
