Patoranking (Real Name PatrickNnaemeka Okorie, Born 27 May 1990) is a Nigerian singer and songwriter from the Igbo tribe. Primarily seen as the pioneer of
mainstream reggae-dancehall tune, He rose to reputation through collaborations with artists such as Konga, Slam, Reggie Rockstone, and project. He has carried out great fulfilment following his breakthrough song, “Alubarika” which featured Timaya.

The award-triumphing singer has a humble starting and laboured his manner to where he’s today. He began his professional dancing in avenue jams and later entered completely into the music industry. His historical past did not restrict his fulfillment. It became a motivation to him, and that motivation drove him to fulfillment. Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie was born in ljegun-Egba, Alimosho, Lagos State, His relatives are originally from Ebonyi  State, and that makes sit his state of origin. He grew up with his relatives in  ljegun-Fgba Satellite Town earlier then later moved to Ebute Metta in Lagos Nigeria.

From there, he moved to Ghana and later came back to Nigeria. Patoranking was coined from his first call Patrick. It was given to him by a  Jamaican artist whom he met at Alpha Beach in Lagos. He was given the name whilst he was still operating as a road jam and carnival dancer. Patoranking is a mixture of “Pato,” a brief shape of his first name Patrick and “ranking” which is Jamaican slang for an extraordinarily reputable one. The name is absolutely affecting his profession positively, going through the fulfilment has attained so far. Also, his signature is an exciting and precise one. Many humans thought his signature is YSL, however, he got out to clear the air in this. He stated it is WhaYaSay” which is a contraction of the words “What Do You  Say.” This is certainly a humorous one, even though he’s extremely good for misheard lyrics and words. Their first son took it upon himself to offer his family an awesome lifestyle. Aside from dancing, he did all forms of menial jobs, consisting of brick-laying, to survive. He hawked numerous goods, like rat poison, inside the streets of Lagos.  He advised youths to install their talents in what they do, that achievement could be theirs.
