Petter Stordalen or Petter Anker Stordalen Bjorvand is one of the prominent Norwegian businessmen, he is into the business of hotels with the longest chain of hotels in Scandinavia. He has an estimated net worth of close to 1.5 billion dollars or maybe more, and all of it primarily from his investments through a corporate group that he has created and through which he invests in different sectors eventually giving him returns that he currently sits on. He is also an environmentalist, who along with his wife (Gunhild Stordalen) works on some of the most prevalent environmental problems that trouble the world today. He can be seen donating thousands of dollars to various environmental funds and charities.

He is one of the few businessmen who really understands the growing environmental problems that linger in the world currently and strives to encourage more and more people and mitigate the effects of climate change through his Stordalen foundation by working coherently on different issues.  He is the owner of Nordic Choice Hotels, which consists of over 200 hotels and currently, he has employed over 16000 staff and workers. He has also invested in SunClass Airlines being the co-owner of the company as well. He has also invested in Shopping centers and Contemporary Art collections. His journey is quite inspiring for a lot of people in Norway.

During the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown, Peter stolen was the first to take a billion-dollar bank loan just as a buffer if things go wrong. Peter is a smart and futuristic individual and his experience has taught him a lot of lessons. In past too he has faced many financial crises, like the 1990’s recession and 2008’s financial crisis and he has made it out of each one of them. One of the major reasons behind taking such a step in advance is to save and properly take care of the people who were working for him.

He says “Financial problems get solved eventually but what people have to go through during such times is difficult to fix”, he definitely cares for the employees who have been working for him faithfully for the last couple of decades. It’s imperative to take care of such people, One definitely could not abandon them, especially in times of need. He has also authored the book Apollo Metoden, in which he has written about how he survived the pandemic, the inspiration behind the name of the book is from the “Apollo 13 space flight”, where everything was expected to go wrong but in the end, it was successful and nothing major happened which was sad in nature.
