Jide  Kosoko was born on January 12, 1954, in Lagos, Nigeria to a royal family, for this reason, his conventional title of Prince or Omoba in Yoruba.

Nollywood veteran actor Jide Kosoko has been in the news over the last couple of years. The first was when the veteran actor came in support of his daughter and actress Temiloluwa Kosoko towards trolls.
