Refined Elegance: Willabelle Ong

Willabelle Ong is a fashion blogger and social media star residing in the city-state of Singapore. She is most well-known for being the founder of Pale Division, for which she has received recognition from major newspapers worldwide, including Harper’s Bazaar and The New York Times. She was the first Singaporean influencer to win the Outstanding Homegrown Social Media Influencer award at the Asian Couture Federation (ACF) Awards Gala in 2014. This honor was presented to her in 2014.

She has that timeless style that brings to mind the old-school glitz and glitter of Hollywood studios. Her beautiful makeup, seductive eyes, and feline stances are perfect for attracting the media’s attention.
But now is the year 2020, and Ong, who is now 28 years old, has a new-century career built, polished, and refined by her digital generation – she is a fashion influencer with a follower base that is inching closer and closer to one million.

Her professional endeavors can thrive even without a record label, a modeling agency, or a studio facility of any kind. She began by creating a blog, shifted her focus to Instagram, and ultimately decided that TikTok would be the best platform to grow her audience.
The current crop of young people who have grown up with social media has concluded that fashion is more than just a medium through which one can express creativity and personality. It is a device that can use to exercise power and exert influence over others. It is a means of communication with people from all over the world, and those people will decide who the winners and losers are by either enjoying or ignoring the stuff they upload. It would appear that Ong has the equations memorized and mastered to the letter.

Willabelle mentioned in an article published by Pile Rats that her passion for fashion was motivated by the sense of style that her mother possessed. As additional sources of motivation, she cites the Italian fashion journalist Anna Dello Russo and the late Dominican fashion designer Oscar de la Renta.
Willabelle’s Instagram is all about stunning visuals, representing her love for photography and coming up with creative concepts; on the other hand, her TikTok is for letting loose and having a laugh at herself with the casual and funny content that she occasionally creates. If you want to follow Willabelle on Instagram, you can do so here. Both of Willabelle Ong’s identities reflect who she is, and it has been a joy to have these venues allow her personality to take center stage.

She still gushes over her celebrity following even though all of her social media profiles are close to reaching one million followers. These fans include well-known celebrities such as Coco Rocha and Jessica Alba. Willabelle will also never forget the day when her High School Musical crush, Vanessa Hudgens, gave her a shout-out on her blog and Twitter when she was starting as a teenager. That was a significant factor in expanding her audience into the worldwide domain.
She does not let her popularity cloud her judgment. Being a genuine Virgo, she is a perfectionist and has high expectations. As a result, she can become frustrated or disheartened if anything is not up to the standard or if she doesn’t believe that she has done as well as she could have.
