Rohina Anand Khira: Living the Legacy

There are times when people believe that we are in a happy place and it couldn’t get any better. We are all very settled and happy about the situation at hand. However, the 21st-century aint backing off because everything was served at a pallet.

One such woman is Rohina Anand Khira, who is the creative director of AA Living, a luxury home decor store in Mumbai. Rohina has been pushing limits daily. From studying her field of a subject in the UK to attaining some pearls of wisdom from her father, she has been a hands-on entrepreneur!

Quiet A-List:

She moved to the United Kingdom to explore her love for textile. She then took up a variety of courses and excelled in every one of them. She graduated with first-class honours. degree and winning a lot of prices to her name. This was only the beginning and now she has bagged up 2016 Asian Paints Decor Awards and has also bagged up Elite women of the Year Trophy

Mixing it All:

Her work is about getting the best of both worlds, She mixed her passion with her profession. She mixed academic excellence with experience. Heritage with comfort. Her father’s legacy with her new ideas. Taking a high-end flagship store to an e-commerce portal.

I didn’t “wake up to 100,000 followers” this morning. So that’s NOT my caption 🥳😂 It has taken me a longggg time to get here…5 years, 4688 posts and hours that I can’t quantify. So here’s my acceptance speech because God knows where life will take me in the next 5 years and whether this platform will even exist 😅 #longcaptionalert Starting off by thanking each one of you that followed me back in 2014. It started off as a means to showcase my favourite products from the store but quickly snowballed into a platform with MY voice on decor and life. Despite the initial wrong angles, bad filters and product posts that didn’t work…I learnt along the way. Thank you to every @aa.living.store client that personally came over to my desk back in the day to say a kind word about the store’s Instagram page – appreciating that I didn’t take on an agency to manage my brand but made it personal instead. Somewhere over the course of time I realised I didn’t have to hide behind my brand handle but could be my own person and start writing my own blog, with my own thoughts – because YOU guys actually enjoyed it! Thank you to all my friends, family and photographers that helped me write captions, pose like a girl, style a frame, hold props…or even just listen to me bitch about the algorithm…you know who you are! @deeep_24 you need a special mention…you are everything! 🤗 And ofcourse my new insta fam – I value each and every one of you and I promise you the best is yet to come! 😘 #happytears #100000followers #100kfinally #aaliving #mumbai #aalivingblogs #100kAALfamily

The Art of Balancing:

She is now a hands-on mother with two kids and of course her venture. She has her days when it is tiring and she has work on her mind and a baby in her hind or vice versa. However, she makes time for both and we are cheers for women like these.

Points to Note:

She believes in mixing colours, one at a time. She wants to decorate the whole house with bits and pieces from around the world but has a special corner where she just chills! She wants to bring out an optimal mix of creativity and quality and cracking the retail market.

She gets it from:

She is a wanderlust and gets her love from around the world. Her vacations have had a huge impact on her taste and sense of styling. Her house in Mumbai which is all decked up in eggshell white is inspired by her recent holiday from Greece.
