Bron and brought up at UAE, this Malayali girl was a part of the media field right from an early age. Nasriya Nasim had anchored a Muslim oriented quiz show in a Malayalam channel when she was eleven years old. Further, she also hosted another reality show on the Asianet Network.

Along with these notable roles as an anchor, she made her debut movie Palunku (language : Malayalam) in 2006. Nasriya grew into a lead actress in the movie Maad Dad. Later a number of chances came up and she became a star of south Indian movies.

Nasriya also acted in Tamil movies along with Malayalam and did roles with a huge star cast. She became popular for her cuteness and expressions in movies and eventually became every audiences’ favourite. Tagged the ‘Expression Queen’ by her fans, she won the 45th Kerala State Film Awards for the Best Actress in 2015 for her roles in Banglore Days and Om Shanthi Oshana.

‘Das’ turns to be her real-life love


Fahadh Fasil, a popular lead actor also from South India was Nasriya’s pair as they worked for the movie Bangalore Days in 2014, directed by Anjaly Menon. Knowing each other from the movie set, just like ‘Das’ and ‘Divya’ the couple in the film; they became husband and wife in real life too. The pair got married in 2014 and are happily married in their love life.

Into new roles

Nasriya took a break from films after her wedding and made a step into the industry as a producer for her husband’s film Varathan, directed by Amal Neerad. Nasriya Naseem Productions turned succesful and joined as a co producer for another interesting movie- Kumbalangi Nights.

Nasriya, the actor, had proved herself as a singer for her films Banglore Days and Salala Mobiles. She has also sung two songs for her debut production – Vartahan.
