The victory of Wil Dasovich over cancer

Wil Dasovich is a popular vlogger and influencer known for his everyday life and vacation vlogs. He decided to film his homecoming to his roots and learn about the local culture. He is a Filipino-American who became famous online.

However, after making a tragic statement on his YouTube channel that he had been diagnosed with colon cancer, Dasovich was forced to take a hiatus during his 2017 peak.

Wil Dasovich, a 26-year-old celebrity YouTuber, has successfully fought stage 3 colon cancer for six months and is now cancer-free. “Life Determined by a Phone Call (Emotional),” a YouTube video Wil put on his channel last February 2 (US Time), recounted the moment he received the phone call that revealed the findings of the pathology analysis that would determine whether or not his body still had cancer cells in it.

“The lymph nodes were completely negative. Therefore this is a wonderful result. There would be no need for additional treatment, according to the reading. Wil, along with his mother, Charry Dasovich, and sister/co-vlogger Haley Dasovich, broke down in tears upon hearing it, “At this point, you will only be under surveillance,” the medical officer told him.

Thousands of fans, celebrities, and vloggers worldwide expressed their support and encouragement after Wil revealed his illness in a YouTube video on August 23, 2017, which highlighted his achievements as a renowned commercial model, award-winning online content creator and occasional actor before his diagnosis.

Since obtaining his illness in August 2017, Wil has been open and honest about his challenges, discussing his chemotherapy treatments and hospitalisation with his YouTube viewers. Despite his condition, Wil is a natural optimist who has persisted in sharing his exploits and even accepted a part in the movie Siargao. As of this writing, Wil has 1,071,805 YouTube subscribers.

According to Wil Dasovich, brands canceled his contracts after learning about his health. Celebrity YouTuber Wil Dasovich shared a look back at his cancer diagnosis two years ago on Instagram today, July 12.

Wil revealed in a lengthy article that he was daydreaming about returning to everyday life.

“Two years ago, as I lay in a hospital bed, all I could do was a daydream of leading a normal life. What did normal mean to me exactly? It meant having the freedom to roam, run, and work out. To be free of the restrictions of daily trips to the hospital and the chemical infusions that robbed my body of vitality and energy. See my friends and hang out with folks without worrying about a weakened immune system. Before it was cool to live in quarantine, I did it for six months in 2017!”

Wil followed by describing the happiness and sense of relief he experienced upon returning to everyday life.

The irony is that when I think back on these trying times, it makes me happy and relieved because I can see that I am now leading the “regular life” that, at one point, I could only imagine. Many of us take our true-to-life ideal of excellent health for granted because we have never experienced what it’s like to be in ill health.

Wil has expressed his gratitude to everyone who assisted and supported him along the way now that he is truly cancer-free. The social media influencer also encourages his followers to lead healthy lives is his main objective.
