Our very own host of the page Monsoon Spice, Sia is a full package of mother, sister, daughter, wife, cook  and blogger; who was born and brought up in a small town in Mangalore. The authenticity and taste of traditional Indian cuisine was introduced to her by her mom, grandma and as she says, half a dozen aunties whose life revolves around food and their family!

Her relationship with cooking was like a not-so serious relationship where she was the one who was not serious. As she loved being a foodie in her school/college days. Her adventure for being a cook started after she got married as she moved to UK. The time she cooked for the first time with many calls to her mother-in-law and mother and she prepared rasam and rice! From then and till now she took her steps slowly but steadily.

Her blog Monsoon Spice is a flood of magical memories drenched in the sights, smell and sound of a place we call home. The reason she named her blog as Monsoon Spice is that as being a girl from the southern part of India monsoon evokes happiness.

Its been exactly 13 and counting years of drenched memories of sound, smell and sights of her home, Monsoon Spice as in the year 2006 she started her blog with her experience in cooking and with remarkable words  of her grandma, mom and mother-in-law.

Monsoon Spice is Sia’s playground where she portrays her love and passion for cooking food. The recipes in her Monsoon Spice’s cook book is mostly recipes learnt from her mother who taught her about spices. There are also recipes  from her inspired cookbooks, magazines, cookshows, blogs and much more.
Filling with love of spices in our life, we wish her more years for her blog and her love for cooking!
