Mitchell Aaron Starc, an Australian international cricketer, competes in domestic competition for New South Wales and the Australian squad. Starc represents Australia in all three of the major international cricket competitions: test cricket, one-day internationals (ODI), and Twenty20 internationals. He is a left-arm fast bowler and a middle-order left-handed batsman. He is recognized as one of the greatest bowlers of all time and was the ODI bowler with the highest rating in 2015. Starc started competing in international cricket. although his career was derailed in the beginning by recurring injuries. He gained prominence as a key player on the Australian team that won the 2015 Cricket World Cup, and as a result of his performance, he was named Player of the Tournament.

He gained widespread recognition as a key player on the Australian team that won the 2015 Cricket World Cup; as a result of his consistently strong play throughout the matches, he was named Player of the Tournament. Starc is renowned for his ability to bowl quickly—his fastest delivery has been clocked at more than 160 km/h—and for producing reverse swing with his deliveries. He is now Australia’s eighth-highest wicket-taker in Test cricket.  Starc began playing cricket at the age of 9 as a wicketkeeper for Northern Districts. He played cricket for the school’s first-grade squad while attending Homebush Boys High School and was a representative of the Northern Districts Cricket Association.

He also played junior cricket for Berala Sports Cricket in Sydney, where he was known to keep wickets and bowl at the same time. Starc was under contract with New South Wales as a rookie. Starc was added to the team to take the place of Aaron Bird, who had been suspended for using an improper bowling motion. Against Western Australia in New South Wales season-ending game, he made his first-class debut. The game ended in a draw, and as a result, New South Wales finished last in the Sheffield Shield standings for the 2008–09 campaign.

Starc was asked by Western Australia to join their squad for the 2009–10 season, but he already had a contract with New South Wales and chose to stay with them. He had a season-high 21 wickets in eight Sheffield Shield matches, including a best of 5 for 74 against Queensland, and he also reached fifty against Victoria. Starc was chosen to represent the Australian Institute of Sport, and his bowling contributed to the team’s victory over teams from South Africa, New Zealand, and India in the Emerging Players Twenty20 Trophy. Starc has Slovene ancestry. He is Brandon Starc’s older brother, an Olympic high jumper from Australia. Starc proposed to fellow Australian player Alyssa Healy in 2015, and the two were married on April 15, 2016.

After Roger and Ruth Prideaux, who played for England in the 1950s and 1960s, and Guy and Rasanjali de Alwis, who played for Sri Lanka in the 1980s and 1990s, Starc and Healy are just the third married couple to both play Test cricket. They first met when they were each nine years old and were both wicketkeepers for Northern Districts. Starc took a flight home in March 2020 before the final ODI match between Australia and South Africa so he could watch Healy compete in the 2020 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup final. Starc is an Australian Football League fan of the Greater Western Sydney Giants. His annual income is estimated to be $12,34,31,573.00 based on the sources.
