\"WendyWe are back with another inspiring story of a girl who, despite living in a foster care in her young age build a great career and is helping hundreds of girls like her to have a good life and she is none other than Wendy Nguyen, who is a fashion influencer, blogger and a justice juvenile advocate.<\/p>\n

Wendy’s childhood has not been happy like any other child she has faced a lot and, was harassed in her young age. Nguyen was placed in foster care when she was 15 years old. She was continually teased for being a court child.<\/p>\n

She had 3 foster placements in total. Wendy was visited by a social worker once a month and on one of her visits, the social worker said something that changed Wendy’s life. She said; “30% of you will become homeless, 30% pregnant, 30% incarcerated and only 10% of you will make it. Of that 10%, only a handful will go to college, who do you want to be Wendy?”<\/strong> <\/em>Wendy after harking all this desperately wanted to be in that 10%.<\/p>\n

She did 3 jobs in her high school and applied to every UC college because she didn’t want to be homeless. After attaining 18 yrs. of age, she had to leave the foster care. Her application was accepted by the University of California, Berkley. After college, Wendy worked for a bank for 5 years, but she always wanted to do something different, so left her job and started a fashion blog named “Wendy’s look book”.<\/p>\n

\"NineHer blogging career kick-started when her video, ”how to wear a scarf in 50 different ways<\/strong>” went viral, and had 42 million views on it.<\/p>\n

She is a generous lady, who had a difficult childhood. She never wants any other girl to face the same. Wendy also served as a teacher at the Francisco Detention Center.<\/p>\n

She had a rough experience of foster care and she knows how broken it is and she realized that her social worker was right as her foster sisters went through the same pain which the social worker was talking about.<\/p>\n

In 2015, Wendy established a Wendy’s Look book foundation, which provides emergency housing; medical, educational and financial support for young adults that are impacted by the juvenile justice system.
\nWendy has an inspiring story, and how she achieved all this wasn’t easy. She is currently working hard to look after the juvenile who go through life like her.<\/p>\n

Wendy is bringing a change in society, and her work is both inspiring and commendable. She shares blogs about fashion, beauty, cats and juvenile justice issues. Her words are making an impact on the system, and her style is bringing her fame.
