Julia discussed how she manages criticism on social media and maintains her mental and physical health amid the pandemic in a recent Manulife webinar titled “Health Matters: Caring for your emotional and physical well-being.”<\/p>\n

Since Julia grew up in a well-known entertainment family and has experienced criticism throughout her life, she claimed it had been a constant.<\/p>\n

“Well, you know, it’s something that I grew up with. I lived with criticism my entire life.<\/p>\n

“I wouldn’t say that now I’m immune to it.<\/p>\n

“I don’t think it’s something you’ll ever be immune to.<\/p>\n

“But I think now I’ve become wiser about handling it.”<\/p>\n

So, how does Julia handle all the bashing? She says compartmentalising is the key.<\/p>\n

“So, like I always say, it’s essential for you to categorise things that matter to you and those that don’t.<\/p>\n

“So, you know, when it’s the criticism from people I don’t know and don’t know me and don’t play a significant role in my life, it’s easier to shrug off and not worry about.<\/p>\n

“I mean, the only criticism that matters to me is, of course [from] the people within my circle and my family, and you know, the people who can be honest with me and be constructive. Constructive criticism, not criticism that [just to bring you down].”<\/p>\n

And despite claims that Julia Barretto and Gerald Anderson’s relationship is experiencing problems, the actress insisted that she had “learned to be careful of my personal life.”<\/p>\n

She responded to inquiries tying the advertising of her most recent movie, Expensive Candy, to the state of her romantic relationship. “I’ve always kept to myself. I’ve only recently learned to be cautious of my personal life because of all that has happened. I, therefore, try to keep that as private as I can. And defining the line between my professional and personal lives,” she stated.<\/p>\n

In response to the question of how far she would go for love, Julia said that “love (comes) in all kinds and all shapes, (like) friendship, family, and loved ones. Perhaps, you know, if it feels… if it feels… (long pause) I’m trying to think of a way to respond without making tomorrow’s news (laughs).<\/p>\n

She turned to director Jason Paul Laxamana instead of finding the right words to finish her sentence so he could answer it first. The filmmaker agreed, saying he would “always be 100 percent if the love feels right” and that he would “give everything for my parents” and “for that individual.”<\/p>\n

She then shared inspiring words to help those who need more motivation in their fitness journey.<\/p>\n

“So, tonight is going to be my first time to work out after a month, and day one is usually what I dread the most.<\/p>\n

“Because you don’t feel as strong, your motivation is not the same.<\/p>\n

“But you know what, the first step is the most important because, you know, it will go on after you take the first step.<\/p>\n
