Fiona Xie<\/a> or Xie Wanyu<\/a> is a Singaporean actress and variety show host. From 2001 through 2009, she was a Mediacorp full-timer. Xie was the first Singaporean actress in Hollywood. A talent scout discovered Xie<\/a> at St. Hilda’s Secondary School when he was 15. Before joining MediaCorp in 2001, she modelled in Singapore and Hong Kong. After a year in the profession, she won “Best Newcomer” at the Star Awards 2001. Xie<\/a> is a bilingual variety show hostess. Xie<\/a> was selected Singapore’s sexiest woman in 2005, despite never having photographed for FHM. She remained in FHM’s Top 10 for the next three years. Xie<\/a> was named one of Singapore’s most promising actresses in December 2006. Xie<\/a> left showbiz in 2009 for personal reasons. She later lived in Hong Kong, New York City, Shanghai, and Tokyo. On 2 September 2009, Channel NewsAsia reported that Xie<\/a> had quit MediaCorp. Then May 2010, A variety program aired in which Xie<\/a> was the host. After a 7-year absence, she returned to Singapore to film a MediaCorp series. But unfortunately, Xie<\/a> needed to return to Singapore to spend more time with her family, especially her seriously ill cousin. Then the Pandemic occurs, and Xie<\/a> is at a point in her life where she only wants to do things that excite her. As a result, she no longer accepts many acting roles. In ‘Crazy Rich Asians,’ she doesn’t even complete one of her projects. Xie<\/a>, who is notoriously picky about the roles she accepts \u2013 she turned down a filming opportunity in Malaysia during the Pandemic to be with her family \u2013 prefers to concentrate on her numerous offscreen pursuits.<\/p>\n

Xie<\/a> rose to prominence on Channel 8 in the early 2000s. Xie<\/a> wanted to move forward to see what difference she could make. It is an evolution of who she is as a woman and recognising what is essential to her, particularly in light of the global Pandemic and rising inequality. These are pressing issues, and it is critical to use the Xie<\/a> platform in a way that can affect change. Away from the spotlight, she has been researching impact investing and collaborating with a technology sustainability-focused fund to work with promising start-ups. She is attempting to uplift the next generation by participating in calls with them, walking them through what they can do to affect change, or even determining whether her platform can help drive more numbers.<\/p>\n

Xie<\/a> has been supportive of the artistic community for a very long time. She was exposed to several art forms from an early age and has always appreciated them as a source of expression. She has always profoundly appreciated various artistic mediums and enjoys visiting art fairs. She worked as a producer for a documentary photographer while she was living in Hong Kong approximately ten years ago, and she also dabbled in photography during that time. In the past, she has even organized art for private viewings for her friends and family.<\/p>\n

Xie<\/a> enjoyed appreciating what Singapore had to offer during the Pandemic, and she quickly fell in love with Singapore’s thriving artistic community. Local galleries and the National Gallery and Singapore Art Museum are cutting the cutting edge of creative innovation.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

On the other hand, Xie<\/a> assured her supporters that she would still take acting roles into consideration if the proper ones presented herself. It’s not like she’s grown out of her acting role or anything like that. She would consider returning to acting if offered a significant part that she was passionate about playing.<\/p>\n
