Dina Tokio<\/a> is a British stylist and she launched her YouTube channel. She is one of the Hijabi vloggers. Dina Torkia, a fashion enthusiast whose real name is Donia Torkia, was born in Cairo, Egypt, on June 6, 1989. She has a half-Egyptian, half-English ancestry. Noor was her first name. Rugby was a sport that Tokio participated in at Horsenden Primary School. Later on, she enrolled in The Ellen Wilkinson School for Girls. She chose English literature, business studies, and product design as her undergraduate majors after graduating from high school. She pursued psychology after graduating.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Dina has created countless BBC documentaries on the hijab and the Muslimah pageant. She also maintains two more YouTube channels, one of which has vlogs of her daily life and the other with her husband, Sid, and Dina. She hasn’t posted anything to her vlog channel in a year. However, the couple’s YouTube channel has 53M views and 304K subscribers. Her subscribers overwhelmingly prefer all three of her channels.<\/p>\n

In all pictures on her site, Torkia is wearing a headscarf, and her clothes \u2013 however fabulous they may be \u2013 conform to Muslim standards of modesty. \u201cI think of dressing smartly as a way to represent myself and my religion,\u201d she says. \u201cI don\u2019t understand why you can\u2019t be interested in fashion and be a Muslim.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dina\u00a0 launched her own apparel brand, Dina Torkia, in 2015. Her apparel brand was introduced after a year of effort by her and her spouse. They also made long-distance trips to ensure that the right production procedures were followed. Her line of apparel sold out right away after the garment debut, which was a huge success. Dina’s debut book, modestly, which is based on her experiences as a hijabi woman, was published in 2018. She also spoke about the hardships and daily life of British Muslims. In an interview, Dina reported that she doesn’t want to be a poster girl for anything but she is delighted to share her perspective with the more mainstream fashion community. Fans all around the world love her for how transparent and vocal she is.<\/p>\n

For the past ten years, Dina has been a blogger and has constantly voiced her strong opinions on the internet which have brought in a lot of flak. Addressing this issue in an interview, she said, in reference to the years’ worth of internet abuse \u201cTo address my \u2018hijabi community starting to become like a toxic cult\u2019 comment. I\u2019m referring to the onslaught of slander and insults I\u2019ve received from a community that I was very much a part of and helped build\u2026 all because of my personal decision to basically wear it when I want to.\u201d<\/p>\n

Millions of her followers throughout the world like and respect Dina not just for her sophisticated sense of style but also for her active involvement in the struggle for women’s rights, particularly for the hijabi community. With her popularity, Dina has come a long way, but she still has millions of light years to go.<\/p>\n
