Louise Nichols<\/a>, who has been editor-in-chief of Harper’s Bazaar Arabia since July 2009, is a fashion icon and expert. From October 2005 to June 2009, Nichols<\/a> was also the editor of Grazia Middle East. From July 2009 to November 2018, Louise<\/a> was in charge of Harper’s Bazaar Arabia. During that time, she made headlines around the world with cover stories that were featured in the NY Post, Teen Vogue, The Hollywood Reporter, and Entertainment and The Sun, Daily Mail, and Daily Telegraph in the United Kingdom. Louise<\/a> has secured exclusives with photographers like Mariano Vivanco, Alexi Lubomirski, and Ellen von Unwerth, ranging from Hollywood royalty to Middle Eastern royalty. This has earned Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, the Middle East’s most popular luxury fashion magazine, global recognition. Highlights include securing Queen Rania of Jordan’s first magazine photo shoot following the Arab Spring and Kim Kardashian-West’s widely reported declaration that her four-year-old daughter would make a better US President than Trump.<\/p>\n

Louise<\/a> has used her close ties to the luxury brands and consumers of the region to pursue a freelance career as a presenter, host, and consultant for fashion industry ever since she left Harper’s Bazaar toward the end of 2018. Along with BBC journalist Andrew Neil, Louise hosted the inaugural London Achievement Awards for Arabian Business magazine in 2019. She has also hosted panels and interviews with president Alison Loehnis, jeweler Maria Tash, aesthetic expert Dr. Barbara Sturm, and other clients, including Swarovski, Retail Leaders Circle, Enterprise Transformation Summit & Awards, and Marriott Luxury hotels. She has also served as comp\u00e8re for Dubai’s Arab Luxury World conference.<\/p>\n

Louise<\/a> completed a postgraduate diploma in magazine journalism at Cardiff University’s School of Journalism, Media, and Culture after studying English, politics, and philosophy at Durham University in the United Kingdom. Before moving to the UAE in 2005, she began her career in journalism at the trade publication Drapers, which covered the fashion industry.<\/p>\n

Along with Saudi actress Aseel, Egyptian star Tara Emad, Tunisian actress Dorra Zarrouk, and Lebanese actress Nadine Nassib Njeim, she participated in BVLGARI’s regional campaign in support of its partnership with Save the Children in 2019. Louise has been featured in an international advertising campaign for luxury hotel group Jumeirah. She also wrote the foreword for a book that celebrates the 10th anniversary of Mall of the Emirates and was published by Assouline.<\/p>\n
