Cheng Yan Yan Wendy<\/a>, commonly known as Xiaxue<\/a>, which she uses exclusively. Xiaxue’s<\/a> blog, which has 50,000 users visiting it daily, has earned her numerous blog awards and advertising deals, as well as stints as a columnist and TV show host; nonetheless, some of her writings have been the source of national controversy. She is a mother to their only kid and her husband, an American engineer named Mike Sayre.<\/p>\n

\nWendy Cheng maintains several blogs, some of which are public and others of which are private. Her primary blog is unnamed, although it is called xiaxue.blogspot.com. Even though she writes in English, she chose the pen name Xiaxue<\/a>, which comes from the Mandarin Chinese word for “snowing.” She did this because she felt the term “has that tint of mysterious, beautiful female thing about it.” She provides updates about her personal life, shares images, talks about topics such as fashion, addresses local concerns such as “difficult taxi drivers,” and posts paid advertorials on her primary site, which has approximately 50,000 visitors per day. The reason for her popularity, which has been attributed to her controversial writing style, is that she frequently employs profanity in her posts. According to the results of a poll that she carried out and which received 6000 replies, most of her readers are Singaporean women between the ages of 18 and 30 who are interested in fashion and “searching for an alternative voice.” Her primary blog has been recognized with several awards, including the Wizbang Weblog Awards for Best Asian Blog in 2004 and 2005 and the Bloggies for Best Asian Weblog in 2005. In July 2005, the blog was hacked, and hackers deleted its contents, but she was able to get them back. \nAs a result of the success of her primary blog, Xiaxue<\/a> has been able to secure work in traditional forms of media, most notably as a columnist for national newspapers and magazines, as well as Snag magazine.
\nIn October 2005, Xiaxue<\/a> wrote an entry in which he criticized a disabled man who had reprimanded a non-disabled man for using the restroom designated for disabled people. As a result of this entry, there was an online backlash, which caused two sponsors to withdraw their deals. In January 2006, she was accused of impersonating another blogger and abusing her position as an editor at Tomorrow to delete comments that were critical of her. In April of 2008, she created a video about the iPhone, which she claims “was meant to be funny.” However, it was dubbed “the worst iPhone review” by an American technology writer named Daniel Lyons and ridiculed on other technology websites, including Gizmodo. She maintains that the video was “meant to be funny.” Xiaxue<\/a> also has an intense feud with the blogger Dawn Yang, who threatened to sue her in June 2008 over a post that was supposedly libelous and which was written by Xiaxue<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\nXiaxue<\/a> was accused of “fatphobia” on social media in February of the year 2020 after she said that morbidly obese people are “disgusting” and that they “don’t live past” the age of 40. Instagram users reported Xiaxue<\/a> for harassment, which resulted in removing her posts from the platform.
\nYou can always count on Xiaxue<\/a> to reveal some sizzlingly truthful information because she is the kind of person who doesn’t mind being completely open and honest. Because of this, she is now famous and frequently mentioned in the media. Xiaxue<\/a> may sometimes come across as insensitive, but her goal is always to make others laugh, despite the fact that some people get the wrong impression of her.
