Actor, host, comedian, keyboardist, rapper, singer, and songwriter Ahmad Ali Butt<\/a> is from Pakistan. Butt started his musical career as a rapper and vocalist for the alternative rock group Entity Paradigm (EP). Additionally, he has made appearances in the comedies Inspector Khoji, Rubber Band, and Jutt and Bond. His career as a comedian has also been pursued. Ahmad Ali Butt was born into a Kashmiri-born Punjabi family. He is the son of the late vocalist Zil-e-Huma and the maternal grandson of Shaukat Hussain Rizvi, an Azamgarh-born film director, and Noor Jehan, an actress and playback singer. He presided over the successive 11th and 12th Lux Style Awards in 2012 and 2013, respectively. The K-drama Squid Game is currently booming worldwide and is the most watched show on Netflix.<\/span>\u00a0Ali Abdul, a Pakistani character in the action-thriller series, is interestingly performed by a non-Pakistani actor, just like in any other movie or TV show in the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

Although casting Indian actors as Pakistanis is quite common in Hollywood, it was disappointing to discover that even Korean shows, which are popular in Pakistan, didn’t make an effort to cast a Pakistani actor. This lack of representation has Ahmed Ali Butt<\/a> feeling quite upset as well. The actor brought up an important point regarding the portrayal of Pakistani and Muslim characters in worldwide television programs and motion pictures. <\/span>Why can’t these productions cast original Pakistani performers for such parts? he questioned, calling these casting selections “frustrating.”<\/span><\/p>\n
