My name is Manasvi Asthana and I’m 23 year old from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. My hobbies include painting, writing and dancing. I’m a trained classical Bharatnatyam dancer and a self taught artist. I recently finished my masters in Criminology and Criminal Justice Administration from Lucknow University with highest marks in my department. Prior to my masters I graduated in psychology from Awadh Girl Post Degree College, Lucknow. My schooling has been done from City Montessori School, Lucknow. I am a strong believer of hard work and patience. I’ve worked with “1090 Women Helpline” along with a Californian journalist who was working on the project “Female Acid Attack Survivors in Uttar Pradesh”. Currently I’m working at ARJ Foundation as a project supervisor on the topic of POSH- Prevention of Sexual Harassment. I love completing multiple tasks at a time as my mind and energy allows me to do so without failing at any task. I am confident and quick in my working. While completing my post graduation I started food blogging which took a hype too soon and I was able to earn a good reputation for my page on Facebook and Instagram, @big_fat_tummy. At that same time I had started selling my own paintings as a trial, which did well as too. I hold a keen passion towards building and reforming police administration in India and work towards the rehabilitation of prisoners. And at present I’m doing an internship with INDIAN POLICE FOUNDATION. My interest in my subjects arouse with the decreasing amount of attention paid to the police department and administration by the policy makers. I believe I can bring a better tomorrow for my society and especially the youths. I love involving myself into activities that occupy my brains and help me exhaust my energy and also act as a platform to showcase my skills and talents.
