What is the best gay cruising ground in your local area?

What kind of experience are you looking for? What geographical or city features are appealing? What demographic of men are usually there? What is a good app or site for gay cruising? Last summer, I found one I really liked in my city. It’s actually a small island park, accessible by a bridge and a bike trail. It has amazing views of the expansive river and even some beach-like elements, with sand and rocks. There are picnic tables, benches, landscaping, stone steps, and old structures. At dusk, that’s when the activity starts. Police don’t patrol the area since it’s far north of downtown, in a rural residential zone. I went there for the first time on my bike and ended up hooking up with an older guy. It wasn’t just the cruising experience that stood out, though - the park itself was beautiful. Everything was still. The water gently lapped against the shore. You could sit almost anywhere and just look out over the river. The mix of natural beauty and the possibility of cruising made it incredibly exciting. I’ve also been to railroad areas and city alleyways. The risk factor is much higher in the inner city, but there’s still a lot of activity because of the location. Parks can be hit or miss, but I’ve found one that I really like. There’s something romantic about sitting on the shore and having someone approach you.
