Title: How Intermittent Fasting and a Simple Routine Changed My Energy and Fitness Managing fitness is not only about working out in the gym. It is also about how you manage your diet, rest, and energy throughout the day. Over time, I realized that a proper routine can make a big difference in how the body feels and performs. One habit that brought a strong change in my body was following intermittent fasting along with a disciplined gym schedule. My daily routine starts with staying active and focused even before eating my first meal. I usually finish my dinner around 8 PM, and after that I do not eat anything until the next day. My first meal is around 1 PM, which means I fast for about 16–17 hours. At first, this felt difficult because the body is used to eating more frequently. However, after a few days my body slowly adapted to the schedule. During the fasting period, I focus on staying hydrated and eating fruits. Drinking enough water helps control hunger and keeps the body feeling fresh. In the morning, I usually stay active by doing small tasks, studying, or going for light movement such as stretching. Surprisingly, I noticed that my mind felt clearer during the fasting hours. Instead of feeling tired, I often felt more focused and energetic combining it with cold showers. My gym schedule also plays an important role in maintaining my energy levels, usually I go for running about 1600m everyday during evening hours around 4pm-5pm after my college ends and after finishing my cardio I start my gym session around 5:30pm and end at 7pm. I try to stay consistent with my workouts rather than pushing too hard on one day and skipping the next. Regular exercise, whether it is strength training or running, helps my body stay active and strong. Even on days when I feel a little tired, I remind myself that consistency is more important than intensity. When it is finally time for my first meal at 1 PM, I make sure to eat properly so that my body gets the nutrients it needs. I try to include a balanced combination of protein, carbohydrates, and healthy foods. This meal usually gives me the energy needed for the rest of the day. Eating after a long fasting period also makes me more mindful about what I put into my body. One of the biggest changes I noticed after following this routine was how my body started feeling lighter and more energetic. Intermittent fasting helped improve my digestion and reduced unnecessary snacking throughout the day. Instead of eating randomly, I now follow a clear eating window, which makes my diet more controlled and organized. Another benefit was improved discipline. Following a routine where dinner ends at 8 PM and the next meal is at 1 PM requires self-control. Over time, this habit strengthened my ability to stay committed to my goals. It also helped me understand that fitness is not only about physical strength but also about mental discipline. Overall, combining intermittent fasting with a consistent gym routine has made a noticeable difference in my body and daily energy levels. I feel more active, focused, and organized in my lifestyle. This experience has taught me that small habits when followed consistently, can lead to meaningful changes in both health and mindset.
