Firstly, keep swiping to see the final product. It was on a Sunday, a few weeks back. I was happy and created this beauty. Warli painting has been my favourite since I was 15; I was introduced to the art by my school art teacher. The young and naive me, liked it solely because it felt easier to paint Warli as compared to other forms like Madhubani, Kalamkari or Pattachchitra. One element that is prevalent in most of our traditional art forms is story telling. I have grown to realise how beautiful these raw stories are. These paintings are traditionally done on a brick red or "gerua" background with rice paste as pigment. BTW is it just me or are you also having trouble uploading videos?
