READ---There is this one question that I get asked often nowadays.Why do you click so many pictures ??? Well ,growing up ,I never had the confidence to get clicked and I hardly have any pics with my family or friends . Being a brown skinned girl is not a cake walk in Indian society and having a fair mom and brother doesn't help either .I always used to get comments like I don't look anything like my brother .In all our family gatherings,there were aunts whose life 's only worry was how will I ever find a groom .I was always told to put on only pastel colours as apparently according to them dark colours doesn't suit brown girls. All these and many more other stuff led me to think that I was not good enough and one day, my 13 year old self took all the childhood pictures from the album and tore them all ,which i deeply regret today.. At 13 ,I was convinced that I was the ugliest of all and I shied away from getting clicked or doing anything that was not per the society standards ,BUT Now at 32, im in the NO FUCKS GIVEN stage ,I wear the darkest shades of lipsticks ,Put on whatever color that my heart feels like and let me tell you, Im HAPPIER NOW ..and what I realised is the day you start believing in yourself ,others will follow suit.Period.. So the point being, Now I love to capture all my moments ,be it my own pictures or,pics with my family and friends .. @messymamadiary
