I was wondering what and where should I start with and all I could think of was "not to write about CORONA because of course, you've had enough". Later I thought I'd start by introducing myself like how we used to do in school assembly because I am a new member of this giant community, but again I'm not going to bore you. So I'd prefer if any of you have come across this post purposefully or accidentally then please put down in the comment if there is something you would want to hear from me. For now, I might just share something from this video I was watching on Youtube (my dad forced me to watch it), it was basically a Pravachan (discourse or sermon) and the topic was 'Positive thoughts in Life'. Now why I'm writing a big paragraph on it is because I really found it useful. When in recent times we're all stressed for different reasons, some of us are also going through trauma and depression or literally many of us still cannot adjust to the changing times and this new normal thing. In this whole procedure, what we're doing and not realising is "tiring our minds and body" which will affect us in the long run. The very gist of what I watched was the significance of "Thoughts". And if you think about all your problems and their causes you will know that your brain does at least 50% of the work to make it worse and the only solution to this is Positive thoughts, that is the only approach. Thoughts are very powerful, they have the power to uplift you, only if they are positive. We live in a world where we have endless means and desires yet it is hard to be satisfied with what we have. Your thoughts are driven by your desires and so are your desires which are driven by your thoughts. It becomes important to monitor your thoughts because what you emit through your thoughts comes back to you. So think positively and attract positivity.

#naturegraphy #beautyofkashmir #travllers

How to maintain health in Monsoon? Monsoon has already reached. Most people love to enjoy in the rain after a wanton summer, but this season also brings health problems along with. No doubt this season brings pleasant climate but at the same time it proliferate the growth of bacteria and fungi, which results deadly diseases. People with low immunity, children and the elderly are more prone to it. Let us discuss how to maintain a healthy lifestyle during Rainy season. ✓Guard yourself from rain • Keep an umbrella or a raincoat to refrain yourself from getting wet and falling sick. • Wash your hands more frequently. Usually due Corona you might be using sanitizer or hand wash regularly. This season is the repository of different types of diseases, so it is very important to clean your hands more often like after coming back from outside. • Not only hands but legs and feet are also exposed when you go outdoors so cleaning up your legs and feet is very important for keeping yourself safe from any type of bacterial infection. Many of you might be having crack heel, scrubbing can be very useful to heal it. • If you get drenched in rain, take a shower exposing to the rain can risk your life as getting drenched in the rain can drop your body temperature severely and your body can be a new home for bacteria. The monsoon makes the outdoors a breeding ground for germs, if you get exposed to rain, they can get attracted to you and you can become a host for various diseases. So, taking a hot shower is the best way to bring back your body temperature to normal as well as it'll help to get rid of the germs which you may have picked up after getting wet. • Avoid walking in the rain. The kid inside us always wishes to dance in rain. But that is the easiest way for germs to attack you. You can be the host of diseases like Leptospirosis, Cold and Flu, stomach infections, fungal infections at feet and nails. ✓Eat healthy • Avoid eating outside. People generally get attracted towards oily and spicy food, though due to corona most of you were avoiding eating outside but after unlock 1 people are taking it lightly and having roadside food often. Now Corona is not the only thing to avoid but Monsoon too is the reason for avoiding outside food. It has been observed that these foods are easiest way to attract gastrointestinal problems. Eat only well-cooked, homemade food and snacks. • Avoid any type of cold beverages. Instead take ginger, lemon or herbal tea like basil or camomile tea. Drink only boiled and filtered water. These will help you to treat sore throat and keep germs at bay. • Clean fruits and vegetables properly. Raw vegetables may carry germs and viruses. It is good to avoid raw veggies and have only boiled veggies and salads. • Avoid heavy meat. Instead, take light meats like soups and stews. To keep your immune system strong, Intake Vitamin-C and add garlic, vegetables and cereals in your daily diet. Black pepper and carom seeds also help to maintain digestive system. Choose curd over milk, as it has probiotics which helps to fight against bad bacteria. Try to avoid adding sugar or salt to it as it will lessen the effects of curd. • Try to avoid oily food, we generally like to have fries and fritters in this season but oily foods are difficult to digest. So, it would be better to avoid those. ✓Strengthen your immunity • Practising exercise is the best way to keep yourself healthy. Try to do it punctually. Not too much but some cardio workout like burpees, squats, pushups, lunges and planks would be great to keep yourself fit and strong. • Keep yourself hydrated. Drink enough water to flush out the dirt inside your body. Generally people intake less water than they need, not only in summers but our body needs to get hydrated in all seasons. ✓Be safe from mosquitoes Mosquitoes are more active during Monsoon and carelessness towards mosquitoes can lead to diseases like malaria, dengue, chikungunya etc. Here are some measures to prevent diseases transmitted by mosquitoes: • Stagnant water can become a breeding ground for mosquitoes. So, keeping your house and surroundings clean and dry is the most important part of the season. Drain out any standing water near your home. Mosquitoes can breed in just 14 days, in an old flower pot, a rain gutter or any kind of container. • Use screens at windows and ventilators to keep the mosquitoes away from your home. If you don't have screens at least try to hang mosquito net over the bed before sleeping. • There are many mosquito repellent sprays available in the market. Use any safe repellent before stepping outdoors. • Try to wear light coloured clothes. Deep colours like deep blue, black and red attract bugs. Loose fitting and light coloured fabrics give more protection from mosquitoes comparison of dark and tight fitting clothes. ✓Avoid close contact with sick people • Most of you are concern about your health and avoiding close contact to the people having any symptoms of cough and cold. Try to maintain it and try to continue it even with your family members, as no matter how careful you are but these flu or viral infections can jump easily from one person to another person. So be extra careful. Monsoon is really beautiful and one of the best season. It brings greenery it brings life, it calms the climate, it soothes us after scorching heat of summers. If you will follow above mentioned tips and take measure precautions then it can be best time of the year. #howtomaintainhealthinmonsoon #tipstostayhealtyinmonsoon #howtostayawayfromdiseasesinrain Image source: www.reuters.com
