💚 Hare Matar ka Bachka 💚 Hare Matar Ka Bachka or Bhabra is a Bihar's special food, It is winter special recipe for all the pakora lovers. Enjoy with hari chutney and serve it as a tea-time snack, it just tastes awesome. Ingredients– Green Peas- 1 small cup Rice flour– 1 cup Gram Flour - 3 table spoon Ginger garlic paste–1 tsp Cumin Seeds Powder - 1/2 tea spoon Black Pepper Powder- 1/2 tea spoon Turmeric Powder- 1/2 tea spoon Red Chilli Powder- 1/2 tea spoon Salt as per taste Mustard Oil- as per requirement for frying Water- as per requirement, to prepare the batter Method– In a mixing bowl take Rice flour, gram flour, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, black pepper powder, cumin seeds powder, red chilli powder and salt. Mix the dry ingredients well. Now slowly add water to the mixing bowl and mix the ingredients together to form a batter for making Hare Matar Ka Bachka. The batter should be thick in consistency and there shouldn't be any lumps in the batter. Then add green peas to the batter. Mix well again. Now heat mustard oil in a kadhai. Then take a round ladle and pour a spoonful batter in kadhai. Deep fry till it becomes cripsy and golden brown on both sides. Transfer the prepared Hare Matar Ka Bachka to a plate cover with tissue paper to absorb the extra oil. Then make the Hare Matar Ka Bachka of the remaining batter in the same manner. Serve them hot with hari chutney or tomato sauce, as a tea time snack. This dynamic duo of roasted rice flakes (poha/chura) and fresh green peas (matar) knows how to turn a simple dish into a memorable one. Enjoying special popularity in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, this street food can be very easily prepared at home, and has good nutritional value. Chura Matar might not look very fancy, but its delicious flavours more than compensate for it. It is surely a must-have on the breakfast or snacks menu. Ingredients– For Chura: Rice flakes (chura) 2 cups Black Salt (namak) to taste Black pepper (kali mirch) 1 tea spoon Vegetable oil 5-6 table spoons For Matar: Fresh Green Peas (hara matar) 2 cups Green chillies (hari mirch), slit 2 Onion (payaz), sliced 1/4 cup Salt (namak) to taste Method For Chura: Heat oil in a big pan. Add rice flakes and let it fry for 7-8 minutes or till they become crisp. Once done add salt and black pepper and remove it from flame. For Matar: Heat oil in same pan in which rice flakes have been fried. Add onion and green chillies and let it cook for 3-4 minutes. Then add green peas, salt and cook it till peas become soft. Once done put the flame off.
