#nationaldoctorsday 👩‍⚕️ If we did not recognise the importance of doctors before, we are certainly learning just how much they contribute to society, amid the coronavirus pandemic. While we are self-isolating, it is the doctors who are constantly fighting for the lives of people who have been infected with the deadly virus. With the number of infected people on the rise every day and hospitals teeming with hundreds of people, it has never been more important to appreciate the efforts that doctors make to ensure that we sufficiently recover from whatever may be ailing us and continue to remain healthy. Doctors are truly the greatest heroes, of not just the present but of all time. India celebrates National Doctor’s Day on July 1 each year, in honour of the birth and death anniversary of the great physician and the second Chief minister of West Bengal, Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy. Since then India has grown by leaps and bounds in the medical field, not just to further Dr. B.C. Roy’s work but also with new and innovative techniques. #worldmilkday June 1 is observed as World Milk Day with the aim to raise awareness about milk and its importance as a global food. In the last few years, India has become the largest producer of milk in the world with over 150 million tonnes of production and per capita availability of over 300 grams per day. Established by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations to recognize the importance of milk as global food, World Milk Day is been observed on June 1 each year since 2001. This year, the initiative has completed 20 long years, the theme is simply called 'the 20th Anniversary of World Milk Day'. When Bengali Macchi when to a foreign country for a makeover. Farzi Cafe is a restaurant, that has taken the Indian cuisines to global standards with a modern presentation which includes molecular gastronomy that fascinates the diners a lot. More about the presentation the standard has been by them even on the taste too which still reminds the authenticity of the dish. This year starting I planned to visit Farzi café and there and I have tried this dish Sarso Olive Macchi with Mint Pesto sauce and it was mind blowing dish love the sarso olive macchi marination it damn good you the mustard flavor is strong and sharp with one good amount of bite will hit your senses as well as in brian just like wasabi but here it was smooth, delicious and creamy. The fish was soft and juicy easy to chunk it down for a bite size pieces every bite of this dish tells me that even a strong mustard flavor can be diluted by the artist if he knows the technique to do that moreover not only the main dish was par excellence but also the mint pesto sauce which helps to elevate the flavors. Before using the pesto sauce I was quite sceptical because I am not a big fan of pesto sauce it's too over powering the flavors but again learnt that even that has been mild from the intense flavor. The experience I had not only fascinated me but also made me realize that even a strong and sharp flavors can be made to a smooth texture consistency which not only makes the dish delicious but also makes the diner mood more pleasant one. Blown away with a unique dessert that is being served at Hyderabad's one of the famous and happening cafe. Aura cafe is the place which is just like a drug to me the more I think about it, the more I get addicted to it. Hyderabad has got many cafes, which I have liked to visit again but few of them have touched down my heart and this cafe is one of them. Hazelnut mango tart dessert is quite complex in hearing but the taste is something that will surprise you when you take the first bite of it. Hazelnut chocolate is sweeter than the other chocolates to balance that they blended it with ripped cream to overcome from the sweetness so that the natural flavor of the fresh mangoes can be felt. A true soul food for most of the south Indian people. What do you call it Sambar rice or Sambhar rice?? Let me know in the comments section. In south Indian cuisine we have most underrated dish known as Sambar/Sambhar. It's quite fascinating how people pronounce it. In the south, it is pronounced as Sambhar but as in the rest of India or the world, it is called sambar where meaning is the same but the feeling is quite different. Sambhar is a quiet versatile dish in south India not only we people eat it with idli, dosa or any south Indian breakfast item but also we have it with hot plain rice or Pulaos too. Sambhar is nothing but sweet and tangy savory flavored lentil stew which some vegetables like drumsticks, Yellow pumpkin, Carrot, shallots, Radish, Tomato, Potatoes, Snake gourd, Bottle gourd, etc are used in cooking. Apart from south Indian breakfast sambhar is best paired with hot rice topped with a dollop of ghee (clarified butter) papad and some people even prefer to use Indian pickle while eating. Sambhar rice is one of the soul food for south Indians that is the reason they even serve it as a special dish at weddings too. Zehn on 10 another gem of pubs that Hyderabad has got it. It's rightly situated on Jubilee hills road no.10. The place is really good and the ambiance is perfect to kill some boredom and enjoy it. Apart from ambiance and the place has got some amazing dishes on their menu and Spicy corn rolls are one of them which I liked most. The rolls can be a soft sheet wrap or a deep-fried crunchy one as to give texture or volume to the stuffed ingredients. These spicy corn rolls were more inclined to be a croquette because of its cylindrical shape. The first bite of this dish has changed my perception as it was much crunchy than croquette and also taste varied a lot in both of them. I have found that the corn kernels have properly absorbed all flavors from the spices and yet didn't lose its own texture. It was the same soft juicy and sweet along with some incredible seasonings. Have you ever tried a dish that has got a sweet glimmer of fresh fruit juice and furthermore the actual flavor explodes in your mouth and astonishments you? I am just taking you to down the lane of my remembrance where I had a similar experience with one of the dish at a newly opened cafe before lockdown. It's a cafe nook that just started regulating their business last year in the month of November. The dish is Peri-peri Chicken Steak one of the best dish which is absolutely amazing and delicious I have tasted in recent times. It’s a chicken breast cooked in peri-peri marination and next, it got sauté veggies and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were completely dipped in peri-peri sauce which was excellent. When you take a sip of the spicy peri-peri broth it first tastes like a sweet and then the heat from the seasonings hits on your throat. The sauce got a sweet taste from freshly extracted fruit juice that is pineapple and orange. The spiciness was added with the addition of peri-peri mix to the broth. As every bite of this dish was a mesmerizing one where one can enjoy it till the last bite lasted on the plate.
